NV5600 real seal leaking, hard to replace?

I found a drop of transmission fluid on the tail shaft on my 03 ctd with the 6 speed. I haven't checked the fluid level yet but I'm curious how hard is it to change the seal out since I'm going across country next week. The truck is 2wd LWB.

If its the same seal as a 4wd, should be as simple as pulling the shaft, yanking the old seal out, and tapping the new seal home.



Pulling the driveshaft will be the hardest, the torx-head bolts.

Thanks Steve, we got it out today and should have the job wrapped up after we get the seal pretty quickly...
