NV5600 transmission fluid???

Just wondering what kind of transmission fluid everyone recommends? I pull kinda often with my truck, but i havent been good about changing my fluid. Also do you have to use a gear mesh additive? How often do you recommend i change the fluid? THANK YOU

Speaking only of non-OEM fluids, there are a few options, a search will yield various threads. My own experience has been using Redline MTL which I was pleased with. Another good option is a small company called Specialty Formulations. In my G56 I found Redline MTL to be too thick for cold shifting. SF makes a manual fluid to replace ATF in manuals as well as thicker ones for a NV5600. Others have used Royal Purple syncromax. Then there's amsoil.

There isn't a service intervall for the 6speed. even though I changed mine at 50000 because of heavy towing. I added fast coolers from Geno's garage wich then was able to add more fluid. I went to the dealer for the fluid just because I didn't want to get the wrong stuff.
