Well diesel fuel went up about 30 cents in a matter of 1-2 days and as of today ranges between $2. 39 - $2. 64

Gasoline is under 2 bucks except for Super

Yeah for some reason it's mostly the NW getting hit by it, even though we've been having a mild winter. It doesn't jive with anything other than the price of crude, but if that's the case then why isn't everyone else's that high?

I see someone posted on NW Bombers they saw $2. 69 today in Everett.

i just paid 2. 43 at the truck stop i go to. damn store i subcontract for has got me everywhere this week. gone 400 mile since sunday. i got a 45 dollar trip charge for 1 job at least. dont you just love greedt MFer's

Sure glad you guys were fooled by GW and his cigar smoking nitwit... . Diesel is now 35 cents MORE THAN PREMIUM... ... . THank you GOP!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I feel better ------ and let the sparks fly... ... ..... Remind me what the $$$$ of fuel was when the Dems were in Office --- do I hear CHEAPER - A LOT CHEAPER!!!!! Do you really believe this crowd gives a S(*&^% about you???????

LOL @ Hammersly. . . feeling OK?? ;)

There were a number of factors Clinton had nothing to do with that conspired to create sub $1 pump prices. It's the Dems that keep fillibustering Bush's energy plan. . . not that that would help a lot but certainly wouldn't be as bad as now.

There's a number of reasons we have high fuel prices such as no new refineries, diesel fuel having to meet higher spec lubricity staring Jan. 1st, and the Dem-controlled politics not allowing any resolution to bring more fuel refinery to a rapidly growing NW population.

But this latest sudden boom makes no sense

Checked into getting a tanker load at the beginnng of the week and I was told to hold off for another month if I could, as several refineries are down in the west and that's what is causing this spike. The broker said it should be back "down" around $2 in a month or two. I hope he's right as I got 1200 galoons from the local fuel company yesterday and it was $2. 27, and the price went up 15 cents from when I ordered it till when it was delivered. I tried to get 2000 gallons at that time, but they only were willing to give me the 1200 at 2. 27. If the price doesn't go down it'll cost more to fill the tank than I paid for my truck. Jake

Well a number of the NW Bombers have been ringing up and emailing senators and legislators in Washington and have been told there was a refinery fire in Canada causing the shortage. After some checking into this "story" no one is able to find anything to back it up.

Just wait until the pipeline and storeage facility owners have their say.

I read an article in the latest (Feb 2005) Light & Medium Truck magazine were the largest U. S. Pipeline operator, Colonial Pipeline, said it plans to ban diesel fuel with lubricity additives from it's system. They claim the lubricity additives contaminated other products moving in the pipeline. So this would require the refiners to spend money on equipment at their distribution centers to add the chemicals back into the fuel once it's delivered. Guess who's going to pay for all that :(

They were already starting to talk about it back in Nov and maybe before that, look out... ...

Remember the crooks at ENRON and those that

rigged all the electrical prices in California - having the utilities take generators "off line" for "maintenance"------something is rotten in Denmark here I think... ... . no other reason than SIMPLE GREED!

Paid $1. 99 in Northern Co the other day for straight #2. I hope those NW prices don't spread east. I thought only Ca and the NE were the only ones with the high prices?

I found a story on this, and it looks like the fire happened at the beginning of JANUARY!

I do not believe that this fire caused prices to jump like they have in the last few days.
