How many Rammers from the NW are planning on going to MM? MikeC,RonR,BobV and I are planning on Bombvoying to Vegas. Things are in a preliminary planning stage naturally. Just curious.

We are going, but I don't think the BOMVOY would want to take the time or route we plan to use. If someone wants to hook up and drag their camper,trailer,5th,etc,and travel together let me know. See you there. Our reservations are allready made

I haven't decided yet for sure, but it is a good possibility. A BOMBvoy to Vegas would be good.

I am about 75% sure I want to go. I am changing jobs Jan 1st and time off will be limited but I hope to have a week to do MM and journey around Arizona either before or after the event.

Tracy, which way are you thinking of going down? Since I live in E. Washington I thought it would be fun to drive the length of Nevada on 2-laners and take in a lot of countryside. Haven't seen a lot of Nevada before. I'll either drop down from SE Oregon and go via Winnemucca, Battle Mtn, & Tonopah; other idea is from S. Idaho take hiway 93 all the way. I am more likely to do the second route and avoid the ludicrous 55-MPH speed limits on Oregon's secondary highways #ad

Vaughn;
We have done the Winnemucca,Batttle Mountain, Tonopah run a couple of years ago. Lots of wide open space. If I was to go that way again it would not be alone. No matter how good a shape your rig is in there are a lot of places where you do not see anyone for miles, lots of miles. I don't think cell phones work out there either, dosen't matter we don't have one.
We are going through Pendelton and down 395 to Reno. Staying there a couple of days and then on down 95 to Vegas. What 55-MPH ???? Turn on the CB and run with the 18 wheelers.

I have gone from Las Vegas to the northern NV border both routes--Tonopah, Austin, Battle Mtn, Winnemucca, McDermitt; and route 93 to Jackpot. I usually do Rt. 318 for part of the trip south of Ely if taking 93 as it's shorter. You can check with me closer to the time for your trip and I will give some "pointers. "

I have driven the US95 from Vegas to I-80 a few times. If you want open space, this is the road for you. If I am not mistaken, it has been nicknamed the "lonliest road in America. " Be sure to have a full tank of diesel when driving on 95... I would NOT wanna run outta fuel waaaaaaaay out there. It is, however, some of the most beautiful scenery I have ever seen. 55MPH??? *LOL* I dod 75 on that road, and didn't see one trooper. Be careful though... It gets DARK out there!

We allways go on US95 from Reno to Vegas. Thanks for the warning. US50 is the "lonliest road" I think.

Mike,
Don't know if you got the other E-mails I sent you but I am definately going to Vegas, hopefully with you and your buddies that want to go to Bryce Canyon.
I have some leads on renting a trailer from here to do the rv'ng thing all the while even when there in vegas. I have a spot reserved there at the RV place. $16/night is nice and cheap. But will be $60/day for the RV trailer, oh well, 6- one, half-dozen the other... ...
