NY Get-Together

A couple of months ago I started a discussion on a CNY get-together. Since then I have been neglecting the post, and at the prodding of a couple of other TDR members I got my butt back in gear. I called Delta Lake State Park. They told me it's getting pretty late to be making reservations, but they still have a few blocks of campsites that can acommodate us.

So... who's interested in a campout on june 25-26?

We should know pretty soon so I know how many campsites to reserve, and then you can call and pay for the reservation yourself(even though I reserved it). From experience, I know we can fit several trucks on a campsite there, and you would probably only want your own site if you've got a big camper.

Hi Joe, wife and I can't make it to camp, but would like to come up sat. for the day, if someone gives me a site number to visit. Let me know and we can bring burgers or whatever we can to chip in. Looking forward to meeting other CTD addicts.

Can't make the camping trip, but I'll be driving from Ma. to Syracuse this weekend. Leaving tomorrow morning, heading for Hobart to pick up a buddies trailer, dropping that off in Lowville, then up to Polaski to see my Dad.

You may want to consider a weekend after the wekend you have stated here. Thats the same weekend most everyone will be out in Indianapolis,IN for the first Diesel Nationals at IRP. You may have more success with a diffierent weekend..... Andy

It seemed to die a slow death. Eventually it was me and tmmytmmy left, so we cancelled. I'd love to have a get-together. Apparently I'm a bad planner. I picked the wrong weekend. . or failed to keep the thread alive... . something. If someone wants to pick a date I wouldn't mind seeing the ball get rolling again. I just bought another 12V and need to do the KDP, and do the pump timing. I don't mind doing them in groups as long as I have help.

At the risk of sounding like an idiot, what is the KDP? Is that the dowel pin? I think I remember reading something about those in the TDR mag.

Yes, the KDP is the dowel pin. It's kinda tough keeping up with all the abbreviations and nicknames given to things around here... but that's common on most fanatical webistes (and I do consider most of us TDR folks to be fanatical).

If anyone is looking for something to do this weekend the Saratoga County Fair is happening and on Saturday there are truck pulls. The heavy class starts aty 1 pm I believe.

On edit: I just checked the web site and it appears that they changed the time to 7pm.
