O. K let's roll back in time a sec here. I have been working for the same company for 7 years now. I have been "Written up" for two things in my career.
HAH . . Career
You know real Kindergarden kind of Crap. Last weeks write up was due in part of ME having to pick up the slack for someone that not only does not speak english but lives on site AND was hurt badly on the job 3 years ago due to his own neglagence AND is set to retire in just a couple years. Granted I was his supervisor and have been told on numerous occasions that I cannot do anything because he is now in a "Protected class"
So this guy Hangs out in his apartment a good solid combined 4 hours of the 8 hour work day. "Upper" Management knew about it as I had voiced my opinion CONSTANTLY about it.
So Let's bring us up to speed here. Last week (Wed) I was brought into the office and had a written consultation on my "lacking performance". I missed a deadline on a Bid , a spreadsheet , and staff scheduling. HOW CAN I SCHEDULE A STAFF WHEN HALF OF IT WAS TRANSFERED LAST WEEK?
I walked out pretty stewed to say the least. The next day I walked in and demanded a Full site consultation in the management office @ 9:00 A. M tuesday Mainly to address the issue with Mr "Protected". All partties agreed and as of Thursday the meeting was set in stone for the proceeding Tuesday.
Boy I was stoked as I finally may be able to get somewhere with theese people and make them see what a major drain to this site he really is and it is NOT my doing. I am left to juggle Ordering , Budget control , scheduling , inspections , work orders , turnover forcast, contract negotiations , contractor scheduling , and lastly Doing the physical aspect of the A: present crew I have left and B: the crew that you allocated to different properties.
Monday Morning 9/11/2006 @ 9:00 A. m.
"Come on in the office a sec Tim and close the door. "
"This is Mrs XXX So and So our new HR director"
"Hi" I said Sheepishly
"Well Tim in light of last week I regret to inform you that you no longer work for the company"
"Sweet" I said emphaticaly
Monday Morning 9/11/2006 9:03 AM I am driving home FEUMING MAD. The "meeting on Mr Protected" never happened as It is supposed to happen tomorrow #@$%! #@$%!
Oh wait IT CAN'T HAPPEN I AM NOT THERE.
He survives another day.
I get phone calls all day "what happened" And EVERYBODY in the corporate office that has ever come to know me say that it sounds fishy.
What would you do?


* 4 years ago I showed up to work not wearing my "Career apparel" (Cargo pants and work shirt) and was late the on the day our big manager was there.
