Harnessing power of a turbo

1+1=0 street racing math

I remember when I had a 69 Dart Swinger 340. A car was coming through town one afternoon so we turned around and pulled up side of him on the highway. He started slowing down and I slowed down. I was in 1st and he punched it. I was with him maybe 2 secs:eek: He had a 4spd too and when he shifted I saw fire come out of his tailpipes:--) and he was gone. And it was on a sunny Saturday afternoon. That little 340 put down many big blocks but when it came to the hemi:eek:

I remember several Friday Cruise nights in the mid 70s eating small block Cs & Fs with my 340(emblems on the shaker scoop) and 440 6-pack under the hood. :D 'Cuda.

My boss has a 1970 Cutlass 442 with the Olds 455. My dad and I rebuilt the engine when he lost a piston eating up a late model Mustang one evening. It's a sweet ride, but has the 'family package' which equates to bench seat and an auto on the column. It'll still move, though.

Still drooling over first page...

Oh. . One for the 71 6bbl Challenger fans. Former NHRA stock eliminator national champ Chuck Rayburn... .

I personally like Mopars and Buicks. I noticed that John Gallina set a new worlds record this weekend for the fastest Super Stocker in existance with his V6 powered Buick GN. He ran an 8. 17 in the 1/4. His goal this year is to be the first 7 second Super Stocker. I have a friend that races a Top Fuel rail. That thing is just plain awesome. I plan on catching him at Topeka, Gateway and Memphis if possible. It's the Oreilly's car and he is Scott Palmer. Oh Did I mention that I love cars and dragracing in general. LOL :D I have been racing since the early 80s myself with a Buick Skylark that is on it's way to being a white and black GSX clone after I am finished with the cage and 4 link install. And a friend of mine that I pit with runs a 1970 440 Cuda that is yellow and black.

Oh, my gosh I almost lost it when I seen this car. This car is my dreamcar and I would like to own one someday. I guess my dad's 71 GS 455 Stage 1 will have to do until I get one of those:D
