o-ring wire

I would like to buy some . 051 diameter wire for o-rings and I am not sure what type to purchase. I have been told to use music wire. But do you buy the kind that comes on a roll or the straight stiff pieces that come in 3 foot lengths. Or is it some other kind of

wire?
