Will someone give a ballpark price on o-ringing the head with install? I am getting ready (money wise) to have it done and I am just getting "ready" for it! THANKS
TFL. . there are several way to achieve O-Ringing... just the head, head and block,head with receiver groove in block,double receiver groove with double O-Ring ala block and head 1 each, studs replacing head bolts, thicker gasket, stock gasket , copper casket thicker... ...
many options... . but Matts #'s are in the ball park
C Ring. . block out as it's done with boring bar. . [but IMHO could be done with same type of maching as the o-ring,,would just take forever and might not be as "true" as a bar job. ]
IMHO - if you're going to cut a groove in the block, then it should not be an in-frame operation. What prevents all the shavings from going down into the bore?
Talk more about the c-rings.....
What kind of HG do you need to run?
Where do you get 'em?
Who has done this to a 6BT?
Are they 'streetable'?

hehe i once ported a head while on the engine in a vw also clearanaced a overhead cam vw head for a larger cam ,while on the engine !. . nothing duct tape, rags, paper towels a lot of grease, and a shop vac couldn't handle... .

on the subject of o rings i beleive manley makes a o ring groove tool for like $ 200 bucks it orings the block... seems liek enterprise does the block and not the head . . any input. . i',m about to do something like that soon so i might invest in the tool do my cummins and my vws etc hehe. . any infor on a torque plate manufactor for boring our b series? or is that a fabricate it your self deal?
