O/T, Smart phone users, Blackberry Storm 1 vs. Storm 2?

It's renewal time again, time to face the Verizon salespeople again.

I now have the old Curve (with the trackball) and it's been the best device I have had- just one failure with the USB jack going bad.



What I'm asking is weather the Storm 2 is worth the premium over the Storm 1? I have used both very briefly, and I think the keyboard on the 2 might be better, but is there anything else- like a better CPU, etc?

I can't help you between those two, but I can tell you my new Droid is fantastic.

I never used a Storm, but the MotoDroid is awesome. If you already have the internet for your Storm, the Droid shouldn't cost anymore per month. The apps are numerous. I haven't had any hardware/software issues with it. Any questions are easily found on line.

I have a new Bold 9700 on T-Mobile, 1st BB, really like it, has the touch pad instead of the ball which I heard was the failure point, so if the phone you are looking at has the touch pad, probably worth it.

Strom is "crap" from my boss at work. I got the Droid, you can speak to it and it actualy hears what you say the first time for surfing, navigation... . Along with the tons of other features it has, great phone, battery life is short, get free apps to control power use. If you buy online you will save a ton of money, on the phone and plan. Think I saved 25% on everything I bought over the store prices.
