Obd Ii

I'm not up on my codes for the OBD II on my 07 5. 9 but it flashes 10 or 11 times (the last one may not be considered a full flash) when the key is turned to the on position.

I have been told by two techs at two dealers that there are no codes stored on this truck when I have complained about idle, smoke, mileage etc. I was surprised to see this tonight after work.

Turn your key on and off three times and on the third time leave it on, if you have a code it will show where you miles are displayed.

If you use a code reader, you need one with CAN buss capabilities.
