2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission OBD port for cruise control troublshooting?

Does the OBD give any help on a failed cruise control? Mine started acting funny and slowly got worse over about a week and finally wont work at all. It would respond to the "set" command slowly and then quit totally, green OFF/ON light is lit. Thinking of buying the OBD unit rather than paying someone else to use theirs but with a 12 valve there isnt much use for it.

Have you checked the servo under the driver-side battery or the vac. hose going to it for a hole/leak from batt. acid? Corrosion in the connector to the servo?

Mine started getting worse and worse also. In my case it would just keep getting faster and faster.



I paid around $50 one through mopar4less.com. You should check your dealer. I have heard of less. It is not to big a deal to change. I bet you will be please with the results.



If you did not have lights on the steering wheel I would say to check the wires right after the steering wheel. Broken clock will disable the horn. . horn works clock spring OK. I also had broken wires in steering column. They break right were they have to bend from tilting the steering wheel.
