OBDII Code P0483

[DIESELMAN]

I checked my engine hours today, 197,(click ignition on, hold trip button 6 seconds) and also noted an ODB Code P0483 (Click Ignition on twice)



Yes, I know its an emmisions related code, anyone know what??



Does anyone else have that code set?



Also note, when the ignition switched to run, the Check Engine Light stays on until started, the OM says that means it is ready for emmissions testing?!? It is supposed to flash and then go off before starting, what does everyone elses do?

Just got my CD ROM manual today and did a search for that code - Could not find it though.

I didnt see a code anywhere when I cycled the ign twice. Where does it show up?

FYI

Make sure that you are in odometer mode and not tripmeter when checking your hours. The first time I tried I reset the tripmeter, boy was I

The only listing I could find on a nonDodge/nonCummins OBDII listing was "cooling fan rationality check" - no clue what that means.
