I know this has been discussed before, but now that I've had a chance to accumulate a few hundred miles it bears repeating. I went for a little break-in cruise last night on some two lane back roads that I frequent on my motorcycles. Lots of rolling hills and turns, and not much opportunity to just loaf along at steady RPM, perfect. The problem is every time the road straightened out just a bit in between hills the transmission would grab OD just as I got to the next rise, but with the 3. 73's the engine would lug something fierce. Selecting Tow/Haul was no help. Being able to just stay in third/lockup would have been much preferred.

If we can't get lockout back, does anyone know if the dealer can go in and alter the shift point for OD upward?

THanks

Only thing I know to do is to grab third like I have to do in Mommy's Pilot. Honda went with a 5 speed auto but no way to get into 4th,so it's third or lug. If I go with a Megacab I think I'll at least find a 410 geared truck to drive, maybe it'll act better. Seems like a beancounter judgement call to me... ... again. Mike
