While slowly pulling into a parking spot this morning, I saw a message on the EVIC that only lasted a few seconds. As best as I can recall, it said "Service electronic throttle control". Right after it displayed, it was gone again. No Check Engine Light and when I checked with my code reader, no codes at all.

I was pulling up to a concrete curb in the front of the parking space so I barely touched the throttle and did have my left foot on the brake. I didn't want to hit the concrete curb with my front tires. Maybe the "two foot" driving caused it but I've done the same thing many times with no message.

Anyone else have this happen or have any ideas what might be the cause?

2 footed driving will create issues, the ecm needs to know logically what you want-stop or go.
Thanks Bob, I suspected that might be the cause and that's why I mentioned it in my post. I usually idle up to those concrete curbs with my foot on the brake but this spot was uphill and I needed a little throttle too. I'll keep an eye on it but with no codes set I bet you are right about the two foot causing it.

I had the same thing happen to me.
Later the EVIC looked like a karaoke monitor with a whole string of messages!
When I picked up the truck I was asked if I had my foot on the brake and throttle at the same time.
My response was - hard to hook up to a 5th wheel and not do it!!!
