Odd idle issue

IN the last three months my idle speed, at times, slowly creeps up to about 1k rpm while waiting at lights, parked, etc. This is normal when the temps are cold on my '03, but not when it's 65F outside. Truck specs:



-2003 6 speed

-Stock engine and electronics (exhaust and intercooler not stock NO other engine mods)

-117k miles



Truck runs fine, and mileage is good. I need to adjust the valves but have never opened the engine or added/modded it.



Looking for some input as to what might be the problems. I'll search in a moment.

Does it idle back down if you kick in the A/C... sometimes tries to compensate then will go back and forth say between 775 and 1200 or so? Mine did, replaced the FCA ( fuel control actuator) and my problems went away! Do a search, been discussed numerous times here. Buy it at Cummins, mine was $97, ******* was getting something like $425!! #@$%!

Mine has been doing this for 50000 miles I guess I should get me a new FCA.

mine has been doing it as long as I can remember, kind of annoying but I can deal with it, sometimes I turn on the ac/others I just mash the brake pedal, I'd like to get it fixed.
