Ok guys. Been setting on this for some time now. Had hopes to post this on my one year anniversary with TDR, April 26th, but couldn't wait any longer.

Ode To The First Gen Forum

Of D350's and 250's, with P pump conversions.....

checking out "rear-ends", and other perversions.

Pastor Bob and his cane, with hp demerits.....

we know that he's senile, so just grin and bear it

Of low boost pressures, and high EGT's... ...

can't make enough smoke, gotta get POD's

We don't like the new trucks, they ain't got what it takes. .

our trucks bring home Bacon, without a waste gate

Our converters won't lock, yet the trucks we have kept...

we have power to spare and still "keep to the left"

Tugboatphil and his fuel filter, with the pipe that get's stuck... .

I sure wouldn't want HIM, to work on my truck!

:p

My truck has it's gauges, but think I need more...

what brand is the best, don't wannna start that war.

There's Red Top batteries, and Decka brand too... .

Santa Clause drives a 1st gen, that's painted dark... ... ... blue?

The head gasket is blown, and to this I will say... .

they still ask ten grand for it, over on Ebay:eek:

CB_Parker, his truck, and all the nightmares... .

little wonder he's started to show some gray hairs

There's West Coast and East Coast, and none in between... ...

both seem to act, like their still in their teens

:-{}

:p

Of missing a lug nut, and swampeast Missouri.....

I say; "choose your mods wisely, don't be in a hurry".

Sam A. is the man, if you'd like a new intake... .

I've got one on my truck, by no means a "mistake".

We cuss and we fuss, and we burn our right hand...

on the hot trouble light, once posted our friend Dan

#@$%! ... ... ... ... ( :-laf )

To Daniel Puckett, his truck, and his life in Missouri... ...

to get outta there, he's in a big hurry. ;)

To the Northwest Bombers, to live there they choose... ... .....

it takes talent to drive, while wearing ... snow shoes. (?????)

To tales of a mouse, who made home in a truck... .

if you remember that far, you'r really in luck.

AHEM!!! ..... ok moving on

Some members have one truck, while others have two... ...

I wish I could dyno, like some other guys do :{

... BTW has anyone seen my truck? .....

Wrapping it all up... ...

A 1st gen is similar, to a bottle of wine... ... .

they seem to get better, and better with time.

I'll drive it hard daily, and it's put away wet...

it's surely by far the BEST TRUCK I'VE OWNED YET!!

Thank-you. Thank-you. Thank-you.

The scar is finally fading. Good thing, too, because having a "Craftsman" brand draws a few stares... . :p

Wait a minute... NIGHTMARES???? :-laf

Excellent work, greenleaf... the words of a true poet!

And as for that comment about the Northwest Bombers, I just so happen to be a member and I've only worn snowshoes twice in my life! :D

You aint lived there long enough to see a harsh winter. Just wait... .

Good job, Scott. I was in there twice, CB;) I guess people DO pay attention to my posts after all. :DOo.

Let's think about this... .

1. Sscott is obviously a fine mechanic so his busses should'nt need repair very often ;)

2. His busses have CTDs in them so he's more or less a glorified "oil changer" anyway. How hard can that be :p

3. He is a government employee... . need I say more

Nice one bud! :D :D

The "missing" stanzas.

(with respects to the author)

And don't forget Greenleaf, he of the bus,

Been truckless all winter, he's likely to cuss.

He spends his days fixing Cummins that seem yellow.

But even through that, he's a likeable fellow.

Jay Man the Sailor, he has the best of both,

A truck mounted Cummins and one in his boat.

Out on the highway is 1stgen4evr,

offer him a 94 and he'll holler, NEVER!

And my own problems are quite a simple deal,

It stems from the loose nut behind the wheel!
