Doesn't sound good. I have a friend who took his '03 in for some kind of a transmission problem. Long story short, they threw a lot of parts and labor at it, and the fix turned out to be something minor. But in the process they replaced his instrument cluster. And in doing that they had to send the cluster to Dodge somewhere so the exact mileage could be programmed into the odometer on the new cluster. Took a week to get it back. I never knew it would be such a big deal, but I guess things are different for electric/computerized parts. Hope your problem is a lot simpler to fix...
