I and a co-worker have 06/5. 7/duallys. both our odometers read 533752 miles when they stoped working. Speedometer still work. Dodge dealer can't find the problem. has anybody heard of this happening. What's the solution?
I did a little google search and found at least one Dodge Ram truck for sale with 533752 miles listed. Hmmm... Coincidence? Wonder what the mileage really is?
I saw other examples of the same thing occurring, cited in other forums too. That sure is a strange place to have it quit...
I recently replaced one of the illumination bulbs on the HVAC controls on my 06. I didn't get the plug in correctly and it caused all kind of issues (stupid CAN-BUS system). One of the many things that didn't work was the odometer. They don't use the CAN-BUS any more so probably not applicable to your situation.
