mysteryman's questions in another thread prodded me enough to get out & fix my dead odometer a second time. There are 2 gears that die in the odometer, a planet carrier & a planet gear. The gears are made of a blue plastic and don't hold up to time. Here are some pic's.

The white lines are cracks & the white teeth are missing and painted in for clarity. The bottom pic is of the new gears.
