Well haven't had the truck a week and still trying to get stuff to work... and still finding stuff..... the odometer resets back to 0 when you turn the key off... . ANY ideas????? and the factory fog lights arent working... unpluged the harness under the bumper where it tee's off to each side... No power to that... checked all fuses, and relays all good... . i have a 99, and when you pull the light switch out you can tell it... on her 00 it doesnt seem to be coming out as far... maybe the switch?? Thanks everyone for all the great info... . still trying to figure out the air suspension on the back...compressor is there... but i think the up/down switch with the gauge in it might be bad?? its got 2 hot wires goin in it... but nothing comin out... not even forsure the make up it?? Any ideas on that one too... . lol... thanks again... . Russ

Several years ago I was having problems on my 99 with the factory fog lights not coming on. It was the switch. The way the fog lights are when you pull out the knob it brings two small metal "fins" up to contact a metal track on the back of the swith (just under the rear cover). it is extremely easy for these to get bent and then not be coming up to contact. Fortunately it is pretty easy to take the switch apart and either flex those fins forward a bit (I would say that would definitely be a temp fix) or to find a way to strengthen them and fix them. I used some solder and took my time to strengthen the flex point after I had positioned them. How you do it is up to you. Other option is to just get a different switch, but they are failry pricey in my opinion, worth the time to yank the old one and at least try fixing it.
