Do you loose the odometer reading if you disconnect both batteries. The Owners Manual says that if the reading is changed during repairs, keep a record of the readings before and after so that the correct mileage can be determined

I've had to disconnect my batteries twice- once when installing the Optimas and once when having my grille guard welded. Both times I lost the reading on the trip odometer but the the other odometer (total mileage) reading remained intact.

No,you don't loose it when diconnecting batteries. The mileage is permanantly recorded in the ECM.
