I've used their motorcycle batteries for several years now. They are great... . let me know what the price was or will be. .

Do you think you'll need TWO of those? Seems like just one has more juice than the 2 I have. I would be interested in a buy if I could eliminate one of the 50 lb bricks I have hanging out behind my front bumper.

I have had the 1700 (just one, relocated behind the cab on the frame) in for a year now, very happy with it, I bet the 2150 is even better! One thing I didn't see mentioned, these are also deep cycle batteries, great for us who listen to the radio all day while outside the truck. They also claim they can be completely drained 400 times (yes, four hundred :) ) and still accept a charge. Mine has been drained countless times (long story) and still performs like new, no complaints.

Mactruck, I can't say how they fit in the factory box since I never tried that, however, they measure (at least the 1700 does) the same as a stocker, only not as tall, if memory serves me right I think they are just over 6" tall, so they should fit fine.

Another nice thing I liked, is that are 3/8" top post, with stainless steel fasteners, and over torque protected mounts, built in handles and a steel case, and can be mounted in any position.

Don't let the high amp for only 5 seconds part worry you, if your truck doesn't start in 5 seconds, you have other issues. :)

BTW, when I got mine, I found the best price at www.mrbobsdistributing.com

Rob

Mactruck,

"How did they fit? Did you have to modify the stock battery tray?

May be my next BOMB! "

You will have to modify the battery tray by cutting one side out.

the stock battery is 12" long and the 2150 is 13" long. other then that it

Will fit just fine :D :D :D

David

Hey Rob- Do you have any pics of how you mounted it (behind the cab)? I've been thinking of doing the same and thought that spot looked perfect. Also, did you make your own cables or buy them?

-JJ

JJ, I'll get some pics today and post them. I made my own cables, solderd and heatshrinked, also added a remote plug-in for jumper cables.

Rob

Here are some pictures... ... ... ...

Mactruck, any good electric supply house will have, or can get them, the same kind used on wreckers. I'm sure www.grainger.com has them also, but if you can't find a set let me know, I have them locally and will ship a set to you if need be.

Rob
