OEM Chrome Rear Bumper Kit Information

Although many would rather replace the rear OEM Bumper with an aftermarket bumper that is much thicker given the chance, there are some that would rather just keep a stock bumper. If your rear bumper is customized for some reason, (mine was done compliments of a gentlement driving an older gen. Ram)and you want to replace it with a stock bumper it is cheaper to get the OEM Chrome Rear Bumper kit, Dodge Part Number 82401316. The Bumper kit comes with the Bumper (of course), bumper brackets, and black step pads all total for about 350 clams.

If you call a dealer and ask for a price on an OEM chrome rear bumper you will get a price in the area of 475 clams, brackets and step pads for 120 clams for a total of around 595 clams.

Great info!! Up here in whitetail country we regularly kill bambi's with the front end of our Rams (I've replaced my front end and two other GLTDR members had to do the same this year alone!). Do you know of a like kit for the front end??

News Flash: Looking in our little shopper that came yesterday, there is a guy that has both front and back for $200. I thought it was a bargain. Also a friend of mine that deals in late model rebuilders has a 98 Dodge QC 2500 4X4 Cummins popped in the tail end. Looked like an easy fix. I think he wanted $12K for it. If anyone wants more info, email me and I'll give you the #. Wished I had more info as I have already told you more than I know.

There is usually a cheaper route. Next time you stop by your favorite auto bodyshop,ask them to look up front or rear bumpers made by Dynacorn. A company called Fey makes rears,but not sure if they make front bumpers too. Anyway,Dynacorn parts do look exactly like the OEM stuff but is made overseas.
Some guy aren't sure of the exact fit of some overseas stuff,but I haven't had any problems with items I've bought,and I don't remember my dad's bodyshop having fit problems either.

I have a Keystone rear bumber. Cost was $298. 20 + tax. That was the bumper, all brackets and step pads. It seems to be decent quality. Also check out Howell Automotive they have Keystone products. They don't have the complete assembly listed, but I'm sure they could get it.
