After the first of the year I want to add the factory fog lamps to the truck. So far I have found a Mopar kit #82205656. Has anyone done this and will this part number work for a 00 model? The reason I ask is due to reading a few articles about this kit not matching up with certain year model headlamp switches. Just wanna get the ducks in a row before I order this kit.

I added the factory kit to mine and it all fit perfectly. I had the wiring harness on the truck and was able to use it. If you look under the radiator you will see a harness ending in a female connector, if so you have the harness already there. Also if you pull the headlight switch you will find a second unused smaller plug that is the foglight connector that goes to the new switch with the pullout fog function. If not, the kit from Dodge has a harness, relay, fuseblock, and headlight switch in it that you can use. Most trucks that are SLT have the harness from the factory even if the option was not ordered. Check with the dealer to see if they have a kit for the 2000, if so it should be the same as the 2001 I would think.
