Just picked up a set of new hubcaps cheap for my '92. They look alike in every way, except one of the two I already have has a gray paint in the recessed parts of the cap. The new ones are not painted, but then one of my old ones isn't either. The paint seems right, but maybe the paint was dropped for later models?
Also, these have a packing label that says "Chrysler part number 52006022" for the set and 52006029 on a tag on each one. It also says "Randall/Textron" on the labels, and not Chrysler. I have some 15" ones of the same style and they have Chrysler tags.
So, just curious, are these aftermarket replacement caps, or later year caps made by a subcontractor? Anyone know? Doesn't seem like there would be a big market for aftermarket dog dish hubcaps. Not a big deal I guess, just wondering...
