My 2001 Ram 2500 H.O. was retrofitted with the oem in tank fuel pump in 2007. We lost fuel pressure recently. pump was clogged with junk. I bought a new oem pump. The new pump was an Airtex. It did not work (no power to the unit). I bought a oem pump from Dodge. Same thing. No power to the pump. When I plug in the old pump and bump the starter, it works for the required 20 seconds and the fuel gauge works. Replacement pumps do nothing. No fuel gauge or pump. Has anyone had this problem?

Weird.
When I changed from my intank pump to an AirDog I ran new electrical connection from original location on firewall.
Is the new connection grounded properly?

Today we found out that the retrofit electrical connector is the wrong type. My receipts say the part numbers are correct. The female connection on the pump is to long. The male part does not make the connection (contact) with the four pins in the female connector. After shaving the connectors, we made a good connection and the pump/fuel gauge sending unit are working. Go figure. the Dodge boys over at Central Valley Auto can't explain to me how this happed. They want $45,00 for the new male connector. Nobody else has had this issue?
