OEM Infinity CD/Cassette & Infinity 6-Disc CD, Interchangeable?

I have the OEM Infinity CD/Cassette deck with the steering wheel controls in my 2003 Ram 2500. I would like to remove it and install the OEM Infinity 6-Disc CD deck. Does anyone know if this change would be a direct bolt-in, plug-in replacement and if the steering wheel controls will still work?

I'd like to know also. I didn't want this setup to start with, plus an extra 600 bucks. Who still plays casets?

Yes, they are interchangeable. I replaced with my Infinity CD/Cassette deck with the RB1 Navigation system. Everything works, including the steering wheel controls. It took about 15 minutes to replace. Remove one screw, pull off center bexel, remove 4 screws holding the radio in, unplug antenae, unplug 20pin connector, and put in new radio.



There are some really cheap upgrades on ebay.

Same here pulled out single disk and replaced with 6 disk. Worked fine including the steering wheel controls. The screw to pull the dash face off is in the hole where the hook is (I guess for a trash bag) on the pasenger side.
