Yep , I just get to thinking plowing snow that I need one in the glove box. Hopefully you don`t have to be a contorshionist to switch him out when needed. Is far as I know they are all made by Carter. Even the ones for $350 in a Delphi box. I'm talking about the one that mounts on the back of the filter housing. I get mine at NAPA.
When this time of year hits at least the weather isn`t that cold here but for now at least I have one handy. Just looks like the wheel well needs to come out and squeeze in their to switch it. Money is an issue on what pump to go with, I have ran this one for 4 years commercially and have yet to touch it so I figured for now this is better than being down for three days waiting for one .No pretty easy to switch out but out in a snow covered parking lot wouldn't be my choice of places to change it, though. I changed mine out before it quit and put the old one in the truck for the spare.
I`m wondering if I just drop the filter assembly to switch pumps ... .....The OEM got the keystroke shaft, I still See the OEM on 03/04 Trucks What 10 years old, the Dog/Fass will be dead in 4 to 6 Years in DD use,I have replace My OEM back 4 or 5 years Ago, the Added Pump at the Same Time.
