I just finished washing my truck and cleaning it up. When I clean it I clean everything. And it was kinda cold this morning when I was washing it about 40 according to outside temp sensor here at work. I could catch a cold and get sick and then have to miss work. I could of waited till it warm up some but I wanted to get through. 1 more hr to go and then I gets to go home. :D

And we get paid for this. :)

You're more than welcome to come and wash mine next.

Of course I must warn you, the high in DC today was around 20*F.

Note to self:

Next time build the ToyBox bigger, with heat, water, and a floor drain. :D

Rookie Detail

We use to have a Project Superintendent out at work that would wait until you got out to the job site, and then call on the company radio. "I need to see you in my office right away". You'd go in to the shop, and he would say take my truck an wash it, and detail the interior, make sure it is full of diesel. Done all the rookies that way. Yeah! I done it before, but he's gone now. The new guys starting out now don't know what they missed. :p

How about me?

Interstate truck driving to the northwest... .

Tuesday, leave for Seattle, snow in northern oregon, and washington, had to chain up at snoqualmie pass. Seattle terminal is snowed in so no Normal freight to San bernardino like normal...

Wed. Take Salt Lake City Freight (where we came from) south by way of portland... . I-84 closed due to Freezing rain..... stuck in Portland 36 hours!!

Thurs. Finally go to a town just west of Pendleton, in a lot to switch trailers, get stuck, the trailer brakes are frozen. Need wrecker to pull truck from trailer and, yep, chain again... . waited 7 hours to get out, max. speed on chains about 45 for 100 miles.....

get to portland again, ice in town, massive traffic jam due to ice and slow speed.

Friday: Get load to go back to Salt Lake City, have to chain up again for 10 miles due to black ice... . get home Sat afternoon... .

Supposed to go: Salt LAke City to seattle, to San Bernardino, to Kansas City and then back home to Salt Lake City. supposed to be 4660 miles... . only did 2188..... :(

This all happened last week
