Had about 210K on my 95 auto when I traded it in. Had a TST 230/605 plate in at about 15K. Hauled a 10K TT around for 40-50K miles. Never had any problem other then the transmission lines rubbing together and wearing through.

My completley stock 99qc4wd has 131k with 15k services and only 3%towing and (knock on wood) it has been great except for that popular hunting problem between 33&38mph. It has only happened twice in the life of the truck and only seems to last about two to three weeks.

I should go over 200K miles within a few days. My auto got a DTT valve body and Mag Hytek DD pan at about 130K miles. The power went up at about 80K miles with a TST #6 and 215 injectors. ATF changes every 30K miles and band adjustments have helped the transmission stay pretty strong. I usually drive "like I own it and have to maintain it" rather than "like I stole it", so that probably helps too. Haven't towed or hauled anything over 4000#, so it's been treated well also. I still can't slip the locked TCC in a quick 60 to 90 romp on the highway (but that's empty); line pressures are up in the v/b. If I bought an '03, it would definitely have the HO motor and the 6 speed stick.

Stock transmission

I have 157k miles on mine with my Power Edge on setting 3 for about 65k of it. I also do a filter/fluid change every 25k or so. I wish I had the money for the upgrade so I can bomb some more.

My previous truck (98. 5 2500 4x4) had 100,000 when I traded it in - no problems with the transmission at all, but it was also stock.

My new 02 2500 4x4 had 8k miles before the transmission went to pieces, after light (300HP) power mods. Now I have around 525HP, just turning 45,000 miles on the odo. I put an ATS Stage IV transmission and TC in when the stock one blew at 8k miles, and have not had a lick of trouble since.

117k+ on my 01 2500 all stock (not for much longer) and never had a problem except for a lift pump failure. Some towing but mostly 80-90mph highway runs back n forth to work.

my 96 2500 had 135k on it when I traded it in for the 01. I cracked the torque convertor on the welds at 40k but once replaced by Dodge had no problems after that.
