19. 5's would be a nice option to have on the 3500 series. Good to see a true crew cab is now available on the chassis models.

Love the leather interiors and all the new functionality. Great towing mirrors.

But whats with the front ends. Did they have to shamelessly borrow from the ugliest truck on the planet? (Ford Super Duty)

I have to agree with Steve, I don't see any resemblance with the butt ugly Furd super duty.

Great job Steve !! I want one !! Mega cab 2500 laramie ... Oh shoot..... $60,000. 00 ?? I guess we'll have to see how much they are gonna charge for them. It's nice not having a truck payment right now. It's nice to see someone FINALLY got the dually fenders right.

Did I miss something? I didn't see any photos of the ram box option on the 2500/3500's. will it be an option, or only on the 1500?

They didn't mention it and as big a deal as they made of it on the 1500 (including at the beginning of this press intro again) I don't think it will be available on the 2500/3500.

I don't think it will be either... look at how much space that Ram Box takes up in the bed... Take the inner fender line and intersect it with the top of the bedside. That's a lot of useable space for hauling cargo which is fine on a 1500 but I don't think that will fly with the average 2500/3500 crowd.

Turns it into a step-side sized box. The handyman magazine is crazy about it. No doubt about it there is a lot of unused space under that sheetmetal in the standard bed.

I like the looks of the new 3500 DRW truck, the interior is a nice improvement, but I am 4 years away from buying one, that should give enough time to see how they are compared to the current trucks, example seat comfort, and padding, the HVAC problems with broken doors, the u-joint problems at low mileage, the ball joint problems, and steering gear problems, I have spent thousands on my 2005, for 55000 easy miles this never should have happened, if this is not repeated in the next few years I will buy one, if it's the same old thing, and I suspect it will be, I will wait for Toyota to come out with a one ton DRW truck, it will happen at some point

am i the only one that saw two new gauges in the gauge cluster on the 4500 st?? so, im guessing turbo boost and transmission temp? anyone have info?

YUP - first trucks since the 2nd generation style I could really get interested in - at least in terms of appearance and passenger area design...

I did go to the Chicago auto show about a week after Steve, and they are some very nice looking trucks, didn't get a chance to sit in them, they were all locked, but the interior looked anything as nice as the new 1500's, but like RonD said, have not been happy with the way Dodge does business. All the problems with the 2nd generations, VP,LP, ball joints steering crappy transmissions, etc. I understand that any vehicle has problems, but to continuosly stonewall any efforts to live up their mistakes kinda leaves a bad taste, heck it took them almost 7 years to admit they had a lp problem and came up with the in tank kit. I is just sad that we as the customer need to spend $1000 to make their mistakes (cheapness) right. They have the greatest engine in the world and surround it with the cheapest truck they can get away with. I think most of us would have gladly payed the extra $1000 it would take at a factory level to make these trucks bulletproof, yet we are stuck spending good money on repairs and upgrades just to make things reliable for daily work, even without upping the horspower. It didn't look like the 3rd generation did much better, it took another 5 years to get rid of the crappy auto transmission and get a not so crude manual, ball joints are still junk, and the front axle is still barely capable I hope to God that they finally got their head out and use this wonderfull 6 speed auto and now refined manual with this fairly trouble free new engine to make the truck that we have always wanted. We'll see

I am going to hold on to my 96 till the used low mile 4th gen starts turning up. I was never realy excited about the looks of the 3rd gen but the 4th gen has me looking. So I am looking for a 4th gen low miles 4x4 3. 5 gears six speed crew cab 8 foot box blue like my 96 any body know of any one selling? Thought I would get an early start.
