Here's One For Mwilson...

Mike, I called down to the Gulf Coast to make reservations in March at our favorite RV campground for our annual 'let's go pig-out on seafood' weekend that normally kicks off our camping at the beginning of Spring. I was informed that they weren't taking reservations because the Snowbirds couldn't leave and return home due to the weather up North.

So there is a "Snowbird Clog".....????:D

Mike; you better brace for another winter storm on the way. The Chicago area is under a wind advisory today: the wind chill values will be between 20 below to 30 below F. We had a high of 21 F at midnight on Saturday Feb 14 with temps dropping to -5 during the night. The wind is to die down around 10 AM Sunday. We did have light snow in the area but Michigan and points east will get more snow do to the lake effect.

Good Luck

Jim W.

The weathers done a 180 since yesterday mornings forecast. Yesterday they were calling for trace amounts of snow, as I'm typing this there is at least 4" of fresh in the driveway and now there is a winter weather advisory out, with localized accumulations up to 2" per hour. 40mph winds with windchills dropping to -30 to -35F. I'm not too concerned about the temps but if we keep getting much more snow I'm going to have to bring dads loader back over to push the snow back off the driveway again. Its getting to be too much to push with the plow again.

This was our last snow storm, the deck was clean prior to it snowing. And no, those aren't little people chairs :-laf

I stepped out my door this morning, and said "WOW, what a day to ride my Harley". Not a cloud in the sky and a predicted high of 85*F. :-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf:-laf

Yessir, I can attest to that. Plus, Wickenburg has become "the roping capital of the USA", so the town is loaded with wannabe cowboys all driving class 8 bobtail tractors around like it's a Prius with a Jake brake:rolleyes:

We had a whiteout come through here around 3:30 this afternoon. What a mess. It only dumped approx 4" before it stopped but it was enough to cause a bunch of accidents.

Yeah- I broke a sweat @ work today. Supposed to get back to freezing Wednesday night though.

Its not difficult breaking a sweat shoveling the deck off in zero degree weather either :-laf

I wish I could figure out how to get a snowblower up 16 steps. Shoveling gets old. Fast.

I got my tractor out yesterday, but it wasn't to push snow. I used it to mow grass and weeds along our drive and I had the A/C on in the cab. Today it was sunny, no wind, and a beautiful 74 degrees. I spent the afternoon mowing the yard. Mowing season has already begun.:D

I will be at the drag strip for the season opener, will have the a c cranked on high in the trailer to stay cool between rounds!

I have A/C this morning, the four big casement windows towards the lake that need replacing are providing a very healthy air exchange....:D

According to the weather the heaviest snow had veered 100 miles East so it is pounding New Brunswick right now. We still have the cold, high winds and drifting. The winds are picking up snow from previous storms and blowing that around.

It is typical after snow that the sun will come out and the accumulation will "settle"......that has not happened here for several storms so the snow is dry and going all over the place. Customers were talking about that the other day, you can blow through big existing snow banks with relative ease while plowing. That is not the norm.

Now that's funny right there!

We've been dodging the bullet but it's chilly with a high wind. Coldest in a long time. This was the acid test for my secondary fuel filter mod. So far so good with no wax up.

Some of us were sent up to Boston with 2 of our 135 ton/ hr melters.
