Archived Oh No, not again! Door locks and more!

Well here we go again! The trick with the key in the door lock worked as mentioned, until yesterday, all worked normal after doing that but yesterday same problem back, door locks unlocking and locking, by themselves, this time I can lock and unlock 4 times with the button on the arm rest and they will stay locked, any other attemt fails, using remote or key in door lock! Took the fuse out to secure truck manually, also a new gremlin has raised its head! When pushing the washer button in the turn sig lever water sprays out but the wipers do not start as they should! What is going on? Been told that if I disconnectt batteries for a day or so computer resets itself, anybody hear of that working or is the key switch in the steering column the problem afterall?... Help!! TL. . 2002 2500 2wd TD... .

I thought I had mine whiped then the other day... . "CLICK_CLICK" ... ... NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!



I changed my remote batteries and used the master key in the drivers side door lock and locked and unlock and once unlocked keep tring to unlock after so may times the dome light comes on and fixes it some how... it worked ... no "CLICK_CLICK" sence



It probly start back up now... Thanks :<

I had that exact same problem in my '01..... turned out to be faulty switches in the door from the factory.



I think there is a TSB out on it - anyway, the dealer fixed it.

Yes to the switch, took it to a local garage, have it narrowed down to bad switch in arm rest, driver side or actuator in door, lubed key tumbler in driver door and will try again for now, but do expect to see switch give up eventually. Where do you find out about tsb besides dealer? TL
