Have been posting a problem about reduction in milage, and loss of power. Checked all the intercooler hoses for holes and tightened the clamps, but after a while was convinced there must be a boost leak somewhere. Sluggish at startoff, and alot of smoke at lower boost levels. Went to the hardware store and bought a 3" pvc cap and hoseclamp to fit it , then the local tire shop for a valve stem, drilled a hole and presto I have a leak checker! Put it in the rubber hose just down line of the turbo and aired her up. Found a good leak at the grid heater. Seams when I was putting my injecters in I screwed uo the gasket on the grid heater stud. And It get worse from that point until loss of fuel milage. Will check milage this week and see if it gets better, truck runs better anyway, better of the line and less smoke:D I guess only time will tell about the mpg. Hope this helps someone and I'm not just rambling on.

Thanks Jared:D :D :D

Oh yeah just drove it about 50 miles and it runs much better, but I lost some of ny low boost smoke;) Guess no more smoke stories for me for a while. Now if the milage just increases I'll be tickled pink! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, (taking a bow now!)
