OHIO Round-up @ Truck Pulls #6

Weeeeelll, I didn't get the truck buttoned back up in time to make it. Darn scattered thunderstorms make it hard to get work done in the driveway.

Well, the turn out was underwhelming. One truck - mine. But Dang it looked good! It Won (by unanimous vote):



- Furthest traveled

- best looking

- best pull

- best red truck

- cleanest

- meanest looking

- farthest pull (in my driveway)

- most peed on (ok, so not really an honor, but my bulldog likes to do his duty by helping out).



Rowilson came to the pulls - we sat together and watched the Dodge's dominate! I've posted some pics.



In retrospect, probably a bad weekend to try to get folks together. Oh well. Live & Learn!

Just so you know I really apriseate you opening your home to Me and mine... . it just so happened I had to work that day or Me and probly 2 other CTD would have been there for sure ... not sure why my bud's wont attend if Im not there..... ????

I think in the past (a number of years ago) I would have been upset by no-one showing up. But, I really understand people needing to get things done.



DM: I appreciate your support - rowilson told me why you weren't able to make it - {I totally support your need to run your business} - oops. ok, so on re-edit: need for making money and not losing the job! Things like this happen!

soory we didnt make it up. They offered me double my normal rate to finish a job this weekend and i couldnt pass it up. Glad this week is over 86 hours and they wanted me to work tommorow. :-{}

double - heck, you would have been a fool to have passed it up! Don't blame you one bit.



Hope you are taking today off (although it looks like yesterday will be the nicest of the 3 days) - pulls last night were awesome - track really got better w/ more time to dry out (I didn't make it to last nights pulls, but neighbors went and told me about it).



DM - tell Bomber JRose if he wants copies of the photos to email or call me. btw: Cord Camera will do 20"x30" posters for $25 - they really do a nice job. Would look nice hanging in the shop - I'm going to do one for the neighbors w/ the 2WD pulling truck.



Where's Glenford? (not to rub it in, but only 2 more weeks of work until 10 weeks of vacation).

Ftuttle, I think I was behind you in my work truck friday, on 5th st downtown Marysville. Had our own get together at dad's place, took the camper down. We'll be hit'n the antique pulls here in another few weeks...
