Regional Gathering/BOMBers Group

I posted this here once a while back and didn't get any bites. There needs to be some sort of BOMBers club in the region of Akron/Canton. I am willing to get the ball rolling but, I'm not sure what to do. There first must be an interest. I'll need to compile the names/location of members who are willing to get in on the ground level of a regional club.

I'm thinking in terms of the following;

dowel pin party

road rally

dinner meet/swap lies/check out fellow members mods

hands on help with a fellow members mods (we learn more by doing than by reading)

I need some suggestions as to how we can get something underway here in Northern Ohio. I'm pulling at strings here.

I see TONS of modified,CTD trucks in Ashland alone! There should be more than enough interested parties.

Scott

I would like to join, if you can get it going. I am about 45 minutes from Canton, and that would be a lot of fun. Let me know if I can help.

I sure will! It doesn't have to be Canton. Just throwing out ideas. Maybe Columbus or Sandusky?????? Would rather be north of Col because there is a group of ya to the south east expressing interest in forming a group.

After things are up and running awhile, we can have a North meets South truck rally/burn out/smoke contest :D

We can reserve our "Cummins Diesel Parking Only" for the Paul Bunyan Show :D :D

I'm in Southeastern Ohio, know a few TDR members, and TONS of non-tdr members that run cummins powered dodges. I think i found another one. I had a 1992 W250, but sold it and am now looking at a 1994 2500. I would be interested in joining/supporting a group for Southeastern Ohio.

I forgot to mention, my old truck is running around part of Muskingum county and up north some also. It was a 1992 W-250 reg cab, 5 speed. It was two tone, copper truck with Maroon stripe. The guy said he was going to jack it up 2-4", have you seen it running around?

Sorry to hear about the turn out. We have monthly union meetings in which we discuss some real important stuff. We get about five members.

Mini vans????????????????????????

I want to have similar gatherings here in Northern Ohio. Prior to arranging something, I wanna know if I'm gonna have participants.

I feel the same way... ... ... ..... meeting new people,talken trucks,

I see 'em all over too. I also see Harley groups,Gold wing groups, etc. etc.

I would have loved to atttend that meeting! And I certainly would have brought my truck! Where was it announced? I saw no mention of it anywhere!!

It was not posted anywhere, the meetings are not hosted by me, I am just a member. I am not to sure if the rest of them want to expand or not? Maybe they like it the way it is now? For the most part they are all long time friends.

This is one reason I think we need a different group. A group of people that meet for the reason that they like, love to talk about, work on, look at Dodge Ram trucks and Cummins engines. Not discuss needle point! I am having a bunch of decals made so everyone can display them in or on there trucks. And when I see on of you on the rode, I can honk and say hi. Maybe things around this part of the country will get better organized and we can have a new chapter.

Hey!!,,, What's wrong with needle point!???! Only Heaven knows where we would be today with out needle point... ..... :-laf :-laf

Hey "y-",,,,,,, to bad you don't live closer to the Great Lakes, say Cleveland. I could use your energy to help get a group started up this way. Then again, it might just be the two of us.

When I make a run to FL I always see that BIG water tower... "Florance Y'all" :)

Happy Trucking... . Blow some smoke for me.

yes i have sen your old truck. A buddy of mine has it, put lift in it and new wheels and tires went down the road and some lady hit him. He bought it back from the insurance company and fixed it and played with the motor. She blows the black smoke now. I will post when we can get some stuff going down here.

Greenleaf,

Thanks for the reply, you know I only live 2-3 miles from that water tower. I sure hope we can get a group going here. And I wouldn't mind it being just the two of us, just don't bring any needles or yarn! And do not show up in a MINI-VAN, might as well get neutered, casue your wipped weather you know it or not. Thats how women tell if a man has been broken or not, it's kind of like branding him. You see a man drive up in a MINI-VAN, yep he's been broken.

Was his name Josh? How bad was the truck after it got crashed (Totaled)? He did finally install the P7100 didn't he? How big of a lift is on it? I'll gladly join/help the club when you're ready to start rolling.
