Pit Bull
Switched to Mobile I after first 2000 miles. Talked to an engineer at Mobile about using it. He said it was OK to use, the label says it's OK for diesels. The engine does't sound any different with the AMSOIL oil usage hasn't changed. I live in Virginia Beach, VA area, coldest day in winter 0 degrees F to hottest in summer 105 F very high humidity. I use anywhere from 1/2 to 1 quart in 5000 miles. I don't do any towing. I use it to go to work 15 miles one way and for trips. I drive it like I drive one of my three Corvettes. The only major problems I have had with the truck, lost 5th gear once fixed it myself without removing transmission from truck just the transferee case used new nut and washer from Dodge Stealer. Also had the snap ring on out put shaft of transferee case break twice not knowing what the problem was with it, the first time I removed the transfer case to fix it the second time I fixed it by removing the drive shaft and rear cover of the transferee case. The second time I used a snap ring from a Ford transmission they're stronger. The fuel sender unit I replace this past summer.
The anti lock break module is disconnected because I can't figure that one out yet but I never liked them anyway the rear end would dance around too much when you locked up the breaks. So they may stay the way they are.
