I just got my first oil analysis result from Amsoil. 37,500 miles on the truck and 7500 on the oil. They said I could continue using the oil and listed a bunch of data regarding ppm of various elements and other things. But they gave no mention of the norms or averages for these items. Without these the figures are meaningless. Does anyone know where there are some normal or average or recommended levels published?

I got a brochure from the oil lab today giving lots of descriptive info on the impurities found in the oil but nothing quantitative as to what is normal. Still looking for something definitive.

Ed, I just scanned my first oil analysis from Blackstone, if this is difficult to read click on "my truck" then go to "first oil change". You can enlarge the pic. there.
