For oil use Mobil engine:5w/40, front/ rear diff 75w/90, syn ATF in the transfer case. . Don't remember if you had auto or manual.

Although I prefer Fleetguard... since they are quality and I can get LF3894 ISB filters through my work for $5. 00 each... I wouldn't hesitate to use WIX.

WIX (and NapaGOLD) are quality filters. I've used both brands on my truck and our volunteer fire trucks with Cummins and Cat engines.

IF I can't get a Fleetguard... there is no doubt that a WIX (NapaGOLD) is my automatic next choice. In fact I have a NapaGOLD fuel filter on my truck now.

FWIW... a NapaGOLD equivalent to a Fleetguard FS1022 fuel filter for a ISC engine is actually a Fleetguard filter sold to WIX and painted in Napa Colors.

It has "Stratopore Inside" logo on the side. I called Napa Filter hotline and they said this particular filter did indeed show its a Fleetguard on the blueprint drawing of the filter.

So in some cases... WIX and Fleetguard are actually the same thing :)

Ncostello, That's some turn in the world of outsourcing.

I bought the Wix that one time, cause I had read and heard so many good things about Wix. I also hear the same thing about Napa filters and have read in many places the Wix makes them.

But the one Wix I bought from a local auto parts shop, it wasn't even made the same as the Fleetguards. The whole top plate was very different, only two small holes comapared to a nearly 50% preferation on the fleetguard. That one Wix I was sold as the direct replacement could not flow the same amount of oil. Then there were the burs and shavings on the threads.

Try to sell your dealer on the fact that a Napa filter or Wix filter is made by Fleetguard so they should honor your warranty. They'll show ya the TSB. They yank warranties on Jeeps when there's a splash of mud on the fire wall. And they say it's Trail rated?!?!

I can't buy Fleetguard around here either. DC dealers want $16 an Oil filter, $45 per fuel filter. I never priced an airfilter... found Geno's well before then. So now I just buy the Geno's kit, save money and I'm stocked of the year, last filter use is my signal to order again, go online and I'm done. I don't even have to run to the parts store and worry if the one I need is in stock. I don't work for Geno's, it's just that they make it too easy to get the right stuff, all in one box.
