What is a good type of hose or tube to use and some good routing idea's would be great too. To explain, I went down a steep hill 4 xing and when I got home there was oil all over the place. Dodge said it came out the oil breather hole and tube because of the angle all the oil ran to the front and out. So I need a fix it/ how to. Thanks for any help. Terril.

Now I'm confussed

The dealer said its just the way it is. At the down angle the oil flows forward and finds the oil breather hole and out the tude and there is no fix. Do you know differently?

There is a TSB on relocating the breather to the rear of the engine, I have it but can't find the number. The dealer sells a kit, if not under warranty. It goes for about 300. 00 if I remember correctly. I'll try to find the TSB for the part #.

It is TSB 09-002-02

I had it done on mine. I got tired of puking out oil everytime I went out to a job site. It took a couple of tries at the dealer before they agreed with me that there was a TSB and that oil leaking out the front of the engine was bad...

BTW, I got the number from www.dodgeram.org Lots of good information there.

I removed the bottle and replaced it with about 5ft of 3/4in heater hose. The new hose runs to the outside of the frame directly under the driver's door. I secured it with zip ties. I chose this location because it is real easy to clean.
