I'm looking to install a oil bypass system on my 05 CR. What are your favorite systems, and why do you like them?

I'm looking for the best combo for filters (easy replacement and common filter) easy (and good technical) installation, good location (where do people install them that's easy to service and protected) etc. etc.

Without buying anything from Amsoil, I understand a lot of people have bought their oil bypass system there. I heard something about one kit that probably should be avoided because of a delay in start up oil pressure indication (don't got no oil pressure at first!)

Any and all comments appreciated!

I got a 2WD automatic.

Here is how I did mine. It is a bmk-11 kit from amsoil. the bmk-15 is not recommended for 04. 5 and up for reasons you outlined. This was a very simple install. The oil fill cap is also from amsoil.

I am partial to frantz or motorguard because of the submicronic filtration they provide and very inexpensive filters. Although they do require more service then the normal amsoil unit which lasts for up to 60k without replacing and requires extra oil at every filter change which can add up using synthetic.

Thanks Brista and 05mxdiesel!

I'm checking out both of the units (Frantz and Amsoil) it looks like I've got some reading ahead of me (TDR searchs) now that I have a specific item.
