Since you are obviously into your truck (you joined the TDR) you should order a service manual for your truck. It has more detailed information. Problem is the more you learn the more questions you will have

No and no. I do not believe you will run higher oil pressure and putting more oil in than is called for will not let you go longer on changing the oil. If you put to much oil in it will cause your crank(don't remember the word its called)but anyway it splashes around to much. I am sure somebody will reply that can put it in better techincal terms.
