I ran for 436k on my 96 with Rotella and those cheap Wally World Fram filters. I tried to change every 5k cause it was easier to remember. Sometimes ran up to 8k. Did blow the motor at 436k coming over Raton Pass loaded, 34,800lbs gross. Found a split in the intercooler hose coming of the turbo (check your hose where it goes next to the right inner fender). I guess the guages were off a bit on boost pressure and it couldn't handle the sudden drop in pressure during a down shift. Many oil samples came back with great numbers during it's lifetime. When the motor was torn down a rod bearing was "squashed" and the others showed some medium wear. The motor had been bombed at 100k (340-400hp) and hauled heavy for all it's life.
