Oil change in seldom used trucks

Would mixing in a gallon of good synthetic oil at the semi-occasional changes be a good thing? A bad thing? Or a neutral thing?

Yes. I double posted my misplaced anxiety. The full answer is in the 2nd generation forum. But basically, the oil fill is 1/3 Royal Purple synthetic and 2/3 Delo 400, with a new Stratapore filter. The old oil that came out was honey colored. Of course.
