68RFE oil circulation in park

68RFE Question

This sure looks like a RAM campaign should fix this design issue. Did you call RAM customer service about it? SnoKing

Well I just went and looked and took a couple three pictures. It is all 12V's fault for leaving out a step in his filter change routine. I could not see light between the intake and the boost boot. So, I went down to the turbo input clamp with a long screw driver and loosen that clamp and turned the take up away from the boot and re-tightened the clamp.

Now I can see light between the two. Will change oil again in June and will inspect the boot, and maybe install a piece of hose between them.

I maybe have turned that clamp on the turbo input so the screw clamp faces straight up for ease of access. The clamp in visible in the first picture. SnoKing

Found the oem hot side intercooler hose/pipe for $215.00. My fine stealership wants $333.00. What a fine bunch of fellows at Grindstaff auto in Elizabethton, Tn. Don't go there. I've bought 2 cars from these people and this is how I get treated. The last time I found an oil leak the tech told me the leak was from poor oil change practices. He told me I let all the oil drip into the lower half of the radiator shroud. Hahaha, I use a fumoto valve and never spill a single drop. I had to show him the timing cover gasket failure, and oil leak. What a freaking DOUCHE.
Why to we have to be at the mercy of complete morans at stealerships?
I almost want to go back to work (NOT), and show these bafoons how a Real Mopar Master Tech does it.
Rant over.

ok, gotcha. It looks like the hoses and pipe are one unit. Is that the case here? I haven't got it apart yet to actually see it well. Im thinking an extra clamp and new boot would be in my best interest cost wise, but if I have to buy the whole assembly that sucks. I usually do go with oem but dang, I think they want $300.00+ for that assembly. I didn't just fall off the turnip truck yesterday.

Yes pipe and hose are one unit. Look on line that may save your a few $$$

Those the change their oil filter via the wheel well will find this issue when the boot fails and they loose boost! SnoKing

YES!!! Another GOOD reason to do the oil change from the TOP!

I wonder how many TOP nay sayers have gone out and now see how easy it is to remove the intake.

So today I changed the oil and checked for the hoses rubbing against each other. Did not fine the issue on my truck. The marks of the two pieces are where they made contact as I removed the intake. Magic Creeper worked great. Truck likes it's booze bottle funnel. SnoKing
