Just came back from a long work trip with the oil change light on in my company truck. leaving tomorrow for another work trip, dealer oil change lane not open on Sunday. Decided to change my own oil, how hard could it be? I had changed it for years in my personal '97 cummins. Previous to this all the oil changes on the new truck had been performed by the dealer, using my oil and a stratapore filter. Got to the oil filter and the tech had put it on tighter than Dick's hat band. I struggled with it for more than an hour, even breaking my oil filter wrench. (spot welds on the rachet bung gave up) I checked back in my
service notebook and this was the same tech that had tried to charge me for an oil filter. I had to point it out to the service writer to get a credit. sheesh.
