Oil dirty

I am wondering if this is a funtion of the new oil spray nozzles on the CTD 600. I have a 4. 5 and have changed the oil at 1k and 5700 and the oil get black very quickly. It appears those who have engines that the oil remains clean are earlier model engines without the piston oil gallery spray system. Thoughtrs?

They all have oil cooled pistons. The 03 HO's use more sophisticated cooling passages in the pistons than the 03 SO's. I'm not aware that this feature has been changed with the 04. 5 engines.
