jleons: This is a good point. I have a couple of these myself and after reading your post checked mine. They are indeed a soft metal. So I have a question for "Dirrgang": This may be a problem in manufacture. Is there any change coming to increase the hardness of the metal? or type of metal used? This would solve even the over-torque problem without damaging the oil pan threads for those who don't think to use an anti-sieze compound on the threads to begin with.
