just thought i would let know that the FRAM sd-5 drain plug for the oil pan works and seals great on the 2002. the applicaqtion chart from FRAM say it is N/A for that model HAAAAAAAAAAA.

I got the Genos plug that has a little spring loaded valve that all you do is turn a valve and presto, no oil on your arm.

thats what im saying

FRAM now has a a drain plug available that is the same thing all most paid 14. 25 at local parts store model sd-5 beat genos price and it should avail at any auto part store... ... .....

sorry i should have elaborated more

You can be almost positive that neither Geno's or Fram makes the plugs themselves, I wouldn't doubt they're both made by the same company.

I bought the Geno's HD plug, and Illfem is right it is made by someone else. It is a nice HD plug and I wanted a good backup incase the OEM plug went ^^ up.

EMD have you noticed any......

small metal particles on the magnet yet??I'm just curious. I really like the idea of a magnetic plug. I am using the HD plug from Geno's and like the beefiness of it a lot!

Just wanted to comment if this is the one you have. I do as well but drilled mine as per Bob Wagner (was it). I can't come up with the old thread and diagram but it is a good idea to drill four holes in the sides to allow all the oil to drain. The plug as sold sticks up just a bit to much and won't let all the old oil drain.
